Kazimierz “Kasey” Skucha was born November 25, 1949 in Bielawa, Poland. He was the eldest son of Roman Skucha and Zofia (Kaczmarczyk) Skucha. He had three siblings, Stanislaw Skucha, Danuta Skucha, and Teresa (Krajewska) Skucha.

Kazimierz lived in both Poland and France before he ultimately moved to America. He met his future wife, Krystyna (Stalica) Skucha, in Chicago, IL in 1981, even though they only lived 15 minutes away from each other in neighboring towns in Poland, but never met there. They were married in 1983, and they recently celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary. They welcomed their only daughter in 1986, Sylvia Monica Skucha, who was his entire life and pride and joy. He enjoyed going to the gym and taking long walks in nature with Sylvia, while they discussed history and philosophy.

Kasey was an avid stamp collector, who specialized in rare print stamps from Poland, Saar, Danzig, and Vatican City. He enjoyed technology and taught himself about computer hardware, often re-building computers and laptops. He had a passion for both traveling and fishing, and he rarely lost his fishing pole to potential catches. Helping family and friends with their projects truly brought a smile to his face.

He is immensely loved by all his family and friends and will be missed terribly. Kazimierz Skucha was reunited with his Heavenly Father February 15, 2022, rejoining relatives that passed before him, and most importantly he was reunited with his “son” Skippy Skucha, a spunky Jack Russell-poodle pup, whom he loved dearly for 14 years.
