Floyd D. Colley, 61, a life-time resident of Waco, passed away Thursday, October 11th at a local hospital. Memorial services will be 2PM Sunday, October 14th at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco. Floyd was born February 22, 1951 to Floyd and Ruth (Jarman) Colley. Floyd was very passionate about racing. He worked on cars and race cars all of his life and raced hot rod, drag boats, go carts, bracket racing, and helped in dirt track racing for many years. He was a member of National Hot Rod association, AHRA, and IHRA. He was also a member of Columbus Avenue Baptist Church. He also loved his son more than anything.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include son, Floyd D. Colley, III. of Waco; sister, Joy Kretzer and husband Bernard of Caldwell; nephews, Joe Todaro and wife Traci of China Spring along with their children, Mandi, Shelbi, and Camden; and James Todaro and wife Lisa of Robinson along with their children, Dylan, Emerson and Austin; niece, Angela Todaro of Fort Worth; and mother of his son, Linda Soncini of Robinson.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Scott and White Hospice at Hillcrest for their exceptional care.
