Judy Ann (Richter) Patrick, 69, of China Spring, passed away peacefully after a battle with complications from the Covid-19 virus Tuesday, March 9, 2021 in Waco, Texas.
Service Information: A celebration of Judy’s life will be held at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco, Saturday, April 3, 2021 at 2:00 pm. Per the family’s request social distancing and masks will be required. A private burial will be held with immediate family only. The service will be live streamed on the Lake Shore Funeral Home website for those of you wishing to view the service but may be unable to attend.

Judy was born December 11, 1951 in Gatesville, Texas to Janelle Braziel and Rubert Richter. Judy graduated from University High School in 1970. She married soon after graduation and had two children, Tammy and Cindy, from that union.
Judy married her soul mate Gerald Patrick May 31, 2003. They established a home in China Spring, Texas. They spent time together doing things that Judy enjoyed. Gerald just loved being with Judy. They traveled to many bowling tournaments and casinos together. They also went on many trips to see family and friends. Gerald embraced Judy’s love of travel and activities. They had many great times together.
Judy began her career at Marathon in 1971. She served in various capacities throughout her 48 year career. Her knowledge of the industry and inner-workings of Marathon made her an invaluable asset to the company. She always participated in the social aspects of work, making sure to bring a smile to the faces of her co-workers and superiors. She was “always right” and did not appreciate the “young ones” coming in from college and making changes. She was a very dedicated employee and retired in 2020. Shortly after her retirement, she bored of it and obtained a part-time job to fill her time and be with people. Her only requirement for this part-time job was that she have weekends off so that she could spend time with Gerald.
Judy was an avid bowler. She was a member of the Greater Waco United States Bowling Congress (USBC) for as long as anyone can remember. She served in many leadership capacities within the organization, including secretary of the Women’s League. She also chaired almost every committee within the organization. The amount of funds that were raised under her leadership for various charities in Waco was her greatest accomplishment. Judy was inducted into the Greater Waco USBC Hall of Fame in 2011 for her service to the organization.
Judy also enjoyed bingo and gambling at the casinos. These activities gave her an opportunity to connect with family and friends. She planned many of her trips based on what casino was nearby.
Judy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved family reunions and any get together that included family. Judy and her friends supported Tammy and The Junior League of Waco by attending Deck the Halls each year. This event was important to Tammy, and therefore became a priority to Judy every holiday season. Judy was very proud of Cindy’s twenty year service to her country in the Navy. She was very delighted to have attended Cindy’s retirement celebration. She supported her grandchildren by attending their various events which included football games, powerlifting meets, dance competitions, softball tournaments, track meets, and graduations. If her grandchildren loved it, so did she. She was most recently smitten when she met her new great-grandson in Virginia.
Judy is survived by her husband, Gerald Patrick, of China Spring; children, Tammy Harralson and husband, Steve, of West, Cindy Harris and husband, Emilio, of Norfolk, VA; grandchildren, Shelby Harralson and Aaron Harralson, of West, Deanna Harris and Tyrone Robinson, of Manassas, VA, Destiny Harris and Dekya Harris, of Norfolk, VA; great-grandson, Xavier King Robinson, of Manassas, VA; brother, Ronnie Richter, of Speegleville. She is also survived by her niece, Kristy Baty, of Riesel, and her nephew, Stephen Richter of Golinda. She will be missed by many other relatives and friends.
Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Gohlke, Clarence Majewski, Domonic Majewski, Tommy Miller, Jimmy Patrick, Tommy Patrick, Ray Sires, and Joel Wellborn.

Loved knowing Judy! She was always smiling whenever around David & me. I know she had her moments, but never for very long. We will always remember her with a smile! Now when we hear thunder, we will know our Angel Friend Judy is showing all the other angels how to bowl! Love you sweet friend! ❤❤❤
Judy was a fun hard working lady. Really enjoyed bowling with her in league and tournaments. She will be missed by a lot of people. RIP dear friend!

Judy was like part of our family and we all spent a lot to time together growing up. Judy had a heart of gold and was always there for her family & friends. She will be missed by so many. My condolences to her husband, her brother Ronnie and her beautiful daughters Tammy & Cindy & family. RIP Judy.
I met Judy back in the 90s at a common place, the bowling center. She always was there when you needed someone. I had the pleasure of being her teammate at mixed state, along with bowling senior mixed state, we had great times in tournaments and dinner and our get together back at the hotels we stayed at. I can remember her asking if I would bring bowling balls back from Reno for the women that were bowling, I said sure, when I arrived to picked them up my bed of my pick up was completely full. I will miss you my friend, until we meet again

Andy and I will always remember her. She was a great person. She celebrated my birthday alot, she planned our wedding reception in Reno.
The live stream service was fantastic. She was so very proud of her great grandchild.
I wish i would have had more time with her since covid and my cancer kept us away from each other. I will miss you forever Judy Patrick thank you for being my friend.

Judy always went with us on our vacation to Ritcheys Rived Bend camping.
