What a guy ! Charley was a very kind and generous man. One of the last of the old school where a handshake was a deal, no need to sign anything. If he said he would do it he did. What an example to his kids and grandkids ! My condolences to all the family.

I had the pleasure of working with him for many years. He was more than a boss he was a friend. I was an honor to know him.

Condolence from M/M Crisp Pirelo on February 20th, 2023 8:07 pm

I was wondering why we couldn’t reach Charlie by phone the last
week or two. Crisp, my husband was privileged to know Charlie a
lifetime. I didn’t have that privilege but long enough to know the
world could SURE use more people
like him! I got to meet his
wife too! It may not be long before we are all together again. THANK
YOU, CHARLIE for making our world a better place to live.

Charley was a great mentor and a great friend. When I went to work at Bird-Kultgen, Charley knew that I had been hired to replace him when he retired. Charley did everything in his power to acquaint me with Ford, the folks at the dealership, and the car business since I had come from a different industry. He was always patient and good natured and showed how deeply he cared for the Kultgens, who owned the dealership, the employees, and the customers. He made what could have been a tough transition into one that was manageable. Along the way we became fast friends and shared many moments from him and Mary inviting me to supper when may family was still in Oklahoma, to the breakfasts with other B-K people on Saturday mornings before going to work, and providing me with hay for my horses once the family moved to Waco. I owe a lot to Charley and will miss him greatly.
