Bud was born March 14, 1961 in Dallas  to Bill and Sue Ann Breaux Craig, the eldest of their four children.  His family later moved to China Spring where he graduated from China Spring High School in 1979.

Bud was a machinist by trade, working for Precise Hard Chrome for many years before later starting his own business, Craig Machine, in West.

Due to Bud’s larger-than-life personality, he had many friends.  Always the life of the party and never meeting a stranger, he endeared himself to many and treasured all of his friendships.   He also deeply loved his family: his mother, his sister, his brothers and his children, all of whom he was so very proud.  He loved being a grandfather to his seven grandchildren.

Bud had a strong faith in God and stated many times that he looked forward to being reunited in heaven with so many friends and family who had gone before him.

Bud was preceded in death by his father, William Henry Craig Sr.

Bud is survived by his mother, Sue Craig; his children, Casey Craig-Saulters and husband, Tommie, Brandy Hamilton and husband, Blake, Cole Craig and wife, Brittany, Bradie Craig, Jett Craig and girlfriend, Riley Capps, Andie Sellman and husband, Wayne, and Jack Winkles; his grandchildren, Braxton and Brittyn Hamilton, Haidyn and Bryce Craig, Harper, Katie, and Ruby Sellman; his sister, Colleen Womack and husband, Tracy; brothers, Bobby Craig and wife, Laurie, Brad Craig and wife, D’ette; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and cousins and friends.

Pallbearers will be Blaine Brookshire, Randy Crook, Paul Freedman, Wayne Green, Byron Jackson, Coy Mathis, Mark Morgan, Craig Redding, Wayne Redding, and Jimmy Walts.

Memorials may be made to the American Kidney Fund at kidneyfund.org

Bud Craig was the “life of the party” many years ago when I was living there and around him. More importantly he was a dear friend . Always right there to listen or to help with anything.
It breaks my heart that he’s gone from here but you can count on the fact that we will be back together one day.
I’m praying for the whole family and even more for Mrs. Sue.
Love you all.

I don’t know if it was just me or did anyone else ever notice that every girl the “ole wise one” knew, either had the middle name Lou or Mae! I missed his farewell party due to the simple fact that we don’t bury people that fast anymore. That was old school. And that is exactly what Bud was! Old school! I know that I’m already forgiven for missing his services and pretty sure I would have gotten a scolding for not taking the time to come up with a better excuse! I loved everybody’s Uncle Bud more than I ever I imagined I could ever love a man. And as I cry while writing this, lm just so ashamed that it toook his death to make me realize it. Yes sir, Bud, that was one of the hottest peppers I ever ate!
