Thelma June Chandler Pollard of Waco, 87, died April 5, 2009. She was preceded in death by her son, Steven Ferris Pollard and her husband of 50 years, Eugene Ferris Pollard.
Mrs. Pollard is survived by her sisters, Elva Hall of Grand Prairie and Marian McIver of Dallas; her children, Tim Pollard of Houston and Nancy Brown and husband, Bob of Waco; her grandchildren, Jef Pollard of Dallas, Amy Brown of Fort Worth, Justin Pollard of Camarillo, CA, Zachary Pollard of San Diego, CA and Matthew Brown of Canton, OH; and her great-grandson, Sam Pollard of Dallas.
The family extends their deep appreciation to her wonderful caregivers, Melva, Miranda and Marianna and to Virginia, for her many years of devotion and TLC.
Mrs. Pollard was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels; please consider Central Texas Senior Ministries for memorials.

Thelma was such a sweet, beautiful person. She was an adopted grandmother to me. I always looked forward to my visits with her. I only wish I could have known her before she became sick. I feel very honored to have known her and her family. Thank you. I will really miss Thelma.
