Sandi unexpectedly passed away in her sleep on February 17, 2011; she was 68. Following her sister to Texas in 2004, she made Clifton her home after retiring from years of successful self-employment in Mesa, Arizona. Sandi was an active volunteer and gave her time freely to the Pottery Guild, BARK, and the Bosque County Art Club where she was serving as their Treasurer. She additionally enjoyed part time employment as the Events Supervisor for The Bosque Arts Center. Her love of this community, animals, and especially the Arts Center, was obvious to all who knew her, and her cheerful presence and loving generosity will be missed for a very long time.

Born Sandra Sue Gypins in Kansas City, Missouri, on September 27, 1942, she graduated from Van Horn High School in 1960. She traveled the world with her first husband, Charles Clevenger, a US Navy officer, and lived with her last husband in Arizona for many years. Sandi and I were in the same class at Van Horn and we had talked by phone many times since graduation. She was always in an up beat mood and and that kept all around her happy also. Sandi will be missed by all her classmates and friends at Van Horn. RIP Sandi. Our condolences to the rest of the family.
