Patti was born on January 17, 1959, and was a lifelong Waco-area resident. Patti was a ray of sunshine and had an infectious laugh. She was generous and would always send you away with a box of decorations, clothes, or food (whether you wanted it or not). She worked most of her life in customer service, but her 18 years at Olan Mills in Waco were some of her most memorable, and there she forged friendships that lasted the rest of her life.

Patti is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Joanne Douglas; husband Fred Storm; and stepson, Fred Storm Jr.

Patti is survived by her daughters, Steffani Ellis and husband Jonathan King, Tiffani Ellis and wife Jaclyn; siblings, Brenda Larson, Kevin Douglas and wife Gwen, and Lori Hill; stepchildren, Tom Hahn and wife Pam, and Khris Hahn, Carol Welstead and husband Mark, Shirley Westerfield and husband Mike, Tim Storm and wife Linda, and step daughter-in-law, Diane Storm; grandchildren, Miles and Carson King; numerous nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren and their children; and last but not least, her beloved dog Sadie.

Place of Service: Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel , 5201 Steinbeck Bend; Waco, TX 76708

Condolence from Margie Veselka on November 15th, 2022 1:28 pm

My heart is heavy, in the loss of this beautiful soul. What a light for many people that shined through her love for people, animals and her wonderful sense of humor. When you were with Patti you were for sure going to laugh until you cried happy tears. I have known her for over 40 years and every conversation was one that was full of laughter. Laughing at each other throwing witty (SA) comments and that Jerry Clower howl… My dear friend, I will remember you fondly with a long neck and a small glass of beer sitting at Blanton’s. Listening to “Rose Colored Glasses”, “Love to Lay You Down”, “Tight fitting Jeans” (think Agnes hated that song but we played it anyway to iritate her) …pumping those quarters in the juke box. You and Agnes were our softball cheerleaders always in the stands cheering us on! Thanks for the memories Patti I will always think of you with a giggle thinking about all of our good times driving the back roads raising some you know what! Rest in peace my sweet friend. Tell the Blanton’s crew hi for us from down here!

Condolence from Ronnie Ostrom on November 16th, 2022 10:44 am

You never had to ask how Patti felt about things she always told you how the cow ate the cabbage and she had to be that way a lot of times dealing with an upset public. Patti was old school, no beating around the bush, definitely one of her best qualities. She will definitely be missed.

Condolence from Debbie Eckstrom on November 16th, 2022 7:12 pm

Patti loved her dog and her family. She was a caring and loving person. Even when she was in pain she was always thinking of others. May her pain be gone and she will be with her loved ones. My thoughts and prayers go out to her sister and family at this time.
