Michael D. Tarrant, 53, of Waco, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at his residence. Services will be 9AM Friday, July 24th at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel. Military graveside services will be 2PM Friday at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online Guest Book at www.LakeShoreFuneralHome.com.

Michael Dewitt Tarrant, Sr. was born in Dallas, Texas on March 14, 1956 to the union of Dewitt Tarrant and Ollamae Lewis. Michael accepted Christ at early age. While living in Grapevine, Michael worked for Grapevine Colleyville School district. He moved to Waco in 2001 and was employed with Woodway First Baptist Church.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Dewitt Tarrant, and Ollamae Lewis; and three sisters, Etheleen, Red and Karen.

Michael leaves to mourn his wife, Jo Ann; son, Michael Jr., and daughters, Brandy and Kemisha; sisters, Virginia, Kathy, Shelia, Sharon, Sabrina, and Betty Jean; two brothers, Orlando and Virgil Jr.; and sister in-laws, Yvonne Wilson and Sandra McGee and husband Bennard; brother in-law, Eddie Brewer and wife Rosa; and four grandchildren, Darius, Brandon, Alexander, and Nijah.
