Maria Nereida Medlock, age 45, passed away July 16, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.

Graveside Service: 10:00 AM Friday, July 22, 2022 at Faulkenberry Cemetery, Groesbeck, Tx
Maria was born June 6, 1977 in Piedras Negras, Mexico to Maria Rodriquez and Feliciano Rivera. She came to the United States and settled in Groesbeck Tx. In 1997 she graduated from Groesbeck High School. She had four kids and a bonus child. In 2010 Maria married her soulmate, Anthony Medlock. She later continued her education and attended McLennan Community College to further her career in health care and continued to take care of others until her illness progressed. She enjoyed spending time with her family, her children and most importantly, her new grandson.
Maria was preceded in death by her son, Jacob D’Shaun Ybarra; stepfather, Lorenzo “Dove” Aparicio; and in-laws, Ethel “Granny” Williams, Claudia Jean “Mama” Medlock and Dwayne Walker.
She is survived by her parents, Maria Rodriquez and Feliciano Rivera; children, Alitza (Jason) Miller; Triana (Darrius) Medlock, Estephan Hickey and Warner Horton; grandchildren, Prince D’Shaun Ybarra, Kingston Tameir Busby, D’Andra Trevon Minnitt, Jr, and Da’Karai Anthony Minnitt; siblings, Beatris Rivera, Jose Rivera, Abelardo Aparicio, Janie Aparicio, Neftaly Rivera, Stephanie Rivera, Jacqueline Rivera, Selena Rivera and John Rivera; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Beverly, Terri, Patricia, Tasha Medlock, Clyde Medlock and Deshaun Medlock and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.
Pallbearers will be Joan Galvan, Broderick Forge, Angel Palomin, C.J Jefferson, Martel Jefferson, Leonard Joiner, Lorenzo Ybarra, Cliff Jones and Robbie Jefferson.
