Condolence from Chelsea Mitcham on February 28th, 2014 9:13 am

As we consider the death of such a wonderful person, we can only turn to the Bible for direction and hope. Death is such a detestable thing, and it is encouraging to remember 1 Corinthians 15:26, which states that "as the last enemy, death is to be brought to nothing." Until that time, however, we continue to lose loved ones and seek hope for them. That same chapter of 1 Corinthians explains that "since death is through a man [Adam], resurrection of the dead is also through a man [ Jesus Christ]. For just as in Adam alla re dying, so also int he Christ all will be made alive." Followers of Christ have hope for the future. It is still natural to feel sorrow for our lost loved ones–even Jesus wept over the death of his good friend Lazarus–but Jehovah God can and will help us through these hard times. 1 Peter 5:7 directs us to throw all our anxieties upon him because He cares for us. Prayer and supplication allow us to pour out all our concerns and sorrows to God who best understand us, knowing our very formation. Bearing that in mind while maintaining focused on future blessings will surely help us through the temporary suffering this world presents. My prayers and best wishes to all family and friends, Chelsea Mitcham, Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

I too am shocked and saddened by Margie’s passing. She grew up across the street from my grandmother on Lockwood, and were good friends with my cousins Ann Marie and Linda Howard. I remember how lauging and happy they always were and since I was 10 years younger really looked up to she and Sally.
I am so very sorry.
