Kenneth Joe Tull, 68, of Waco, passed away on Easter Sunday Morning, April 12, 2020.

The family will receive friends from one’s vehicle from 4:30PM to 6PM Wednesday, April 15th at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco.
Graveside Service: 1PM Thursday, April 16th at Rosemound Cemetery. Under Texas mandate, up to ten persons are allowed under the tent with others respecting social distancing from afar.

Kenneth Joe Tull was born June 21, 1951 to Calvin and Emma Tull in Waco. Kenneth worked for the City of Waco and Working Man’s Friend Gas Station for many years. A few years before retirement, he and his son owned and operated a construction company. Kenneth will always be remembered for his love of car racing, willingness to lend a hand whenever the chance was given, his pride in his family and his humorous sayings.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: Jerry, Jimmy and Tommy.

Kenneth is survived by his wife and best friend, Esther Tull; sons, Ricky Tull and wife Jennifer, Johnny Tull and wife Nicole, and Calvin Tull and wife Lana; stepsons, Julio Leija, Jr., Jeffery Leija, Joshua Leija and wife Stacy; 16 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; loving sister, Berlene Swaner; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Esther has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Kenny’s home church: Grace Gospel Church, P.O. Box 407, Axtell, TX 76624.

Place of Service: Rosemound Cemetery , 3201 S. 12th St.; Waco, TX 76706

Uncle Kenny was one of a kind. Always making people laugh, he had such a kind soul and was such a joy to be around. He will be missed here on earth by many people, but I know he is with my dad(Jimmy), Jerry and Tommy watching racing in Heaven.

Knew Kenny all the way from elementary school at Meadowbrook through University High School. We were cousins on my grandmothers side, whose grandmother was a Tull. Many a day we rode bikes together when he lived on Shelby. He was a good old boy….will truly miss him. Terry Brink

Kenny was a sweet and joyful cousin. I will always cherish my memories with him . My thoughts and prayers are with Rickey, Johnny, and Calvin. Berlene hugs and prayers for you. Kenneth Tull was a good man. He was best man aty wedding in 1970. He helped with Martins hot rods, working on them and in the pits. He was quiet and soft spoken, very gentle. I loved Kenny! He was the same every time I saw him. May he rejoice greatly now that his race is run. He did it well!
