Johnnie Fred Kerley, 68, of Waco, passed into the eternal grace of God on Tuesday, June 17, 2020.

Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 20, at Lake Shore Funeral Home & Crematory

Johnny was born September 17, 1951 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to the late Chester Lee Kerley and Emma Ragsdale. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother that loved nothing more than his family. He served his country with pride in the United States Army, serving active duty from 1974 to 1977 and 1979 to 1984, and in the Army Reserves from 1977 to 1979. He reached the rank of E-5 Sergeant and retired in 1984, having two honorable discharges. He will forever be missed.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Mary Kerley of Waco; five children, Alicia Loman of Antlers, Oklahoma, Melissa Whitehead and husband, Michael of Waco, John Kerley and wife, Avery of Waco, William Kerley and wife, Michaela of Copperas Cove and Michael Kerley of Waco; grandchildren, Tanner, Colton, Casey, Mikayla and Evelyn; great-grandchild, Faith Lynn; brother and sister-in-law, Ed and Linda Kerley of Daingerfield; mother, Emma Morris of Hughes Springs; sister and brothers-in-law, Lucy “Red” and Robbie Brister of Lexington and Barbara and Darren Veale of Greeley, Colorado; and several nieces and nephews.
