John Horace Kelly, 83, of Waco, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2013 at St. Catherine Center in Waco. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at Crawford Cemetery, officiated by Chaplain Kelly and Dr. Anthony Cahill. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, December 2 at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend, Waco. John Horace Kelly was born on June 15, 1930 to Marlan and Ruth Ellen (Reed) Kelly in Wheeler, Texas. He graduated in 1949 from Wheeler High School, and in the fall of 1949, he married Anna V. Hefley in Clovis, NM. God blessed them with a beautiful family.
John worked for Phillips Petroleum in Borger. In 1953, he transferred with the company to McGregor. After 30 years of service, he retired from Hercules in 1983.
John is survived by his wife of 64 years, Anna V. Kelly; three sons, Phil and wife, Doris Kelly, Steven and wife, Patricia Kelly, and

Truly sorry to hear of Mr. Kelly’s passing. Mrs. Kelly, it has been many years since I have seen you two. You rented out a home on Alexander to my parents back in 1977. He was a very kind person.

It was such an honor and privilege to know him not only as my close forever friend’s father but also to be his Providence Hospice RN Case Manager. Mrs. Kelly I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Kelly was a wonderful man and I always enjoyed talking to the both of you. My thoughts and prayers are with your entire family.
