Jesse Ryan Holcomb, 38, of Woodway, passed away April 19th, at Providence Hospital. He loved having a good time and fellow-shipping with his friends and family. He was never too busy to enjoy a good conversation, joke, story or music with those he loved. He was a generous giver and received great joy in giving the “perfect” Christmas present to his family.

He is survived by his parents, Mark and Tracy Holcomb of Woodway, his sister, Erin Jo Gautreaux and husband Bryan of Temple. He was the fun loving uncle to Caleb Holcomb of Temple, Analeise Gautreaux of Caldwell and Joshua Gautreaux of Temple.

We would like to thank the Littles, Whittingtons and Gulleys who were the families of the “village” that helped raise him. We would also desire to give a special thank you to Taylor Blanpied who was Jesse’s tried and true best friend for many years.

What a treasure Jesse was and always will be- so many sacred conversations we shared at Common Grounds over the years. It was an honor to have called him Friend.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Jesse was full of life, loving, caring, funny as all get out. I will never forget how he drove halfway to Dallas in the middle of the night to come get me and 5 friends when our car broke down.
He was very loved, and will be missed.

Jesse was one of my first friends when I moved to Waco. I think a lot of people might say the same thing. He was everywhere at once, it seemed. I called him the “boy mayor of Waco.” Everyone knew Jesse.

We lost touch after I moved, but I would often run into him when back in town. Again, he’s everywhere. He was always warm, funny and often pensive. All of my memories with him were full of laughter and energy.

I’m so sorry to hear of this great loss. Love to his family.
