James “Jamie” Parsons, 11, passed away September 24, 2021.
A celebration of his life will be 2 pm Friday, October 1 at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation will be 6-8 pm Thursday, September 30 at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend Dr.
Jamie was born July 2, 2010 in Huntsville to Patrick and Emily Parsons. He had Hunter Syndrome, but didn’t let that keep him from enjoying life. He had an amazing personality, and a smile that could light up the room. His love for cars, SpongeBob, movies/snacks, were a few of the many things that filled his heart with joy. He was brave, loving, smart, funny, and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Jamie was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Albert and Edith Daniel; paternal grandfather, Burlon Parsons; aunt, Larissia Perrucci; great grandfather, Bill Rich.
Survivors include his mother Emily Parsons and Michael Prestwood; father, Shawn Parsons; maternal grandmother, Mary Rich; paternal grandmother, Betsy Parsons; maternal aunt, Katherine Bartlett and husband Steve; Paternal Uncles, Lee Parsons and wife Becky, Travis Parsons; nurses, Pamela Smith, Taj Alderman, Robbie Pledger, Kiffany Betters.
The family would like to convey a special appreciation to the staff of Baylor Scott & White McLane’s Children’s Hospital.
They also request that anyone attending the service wear purple, and bring a new matchbox car for donation to McLane’s Children’s Hospital.

I have “sat” by you during quite a few crises but this one hurts so much! My love to you. I remember his voice and your joy at being MamaNoNo! Know you will be in my heart, prayers, and thoughts as you move through this. As usual, I’m the most talkative when I have no more words.

Mein herzlichstes Beileid und viel Kraft für die kommende Zeit. Mein Sohn Adrian wird sich sicher im Himmel um Jamie kümmern. Er hatte auch das Hunter Syndrom und ist schon 7 Jahre nicht mehr bei uns.
