Helen Fiew Benton Myres, 98, of Waco, passed away on Monday, May 21, 2012 at her residence. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Thursday, May 24, at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Amos Humphries officiating. Burial will follow at Frost Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm Wednesday, May 23, at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco.
Helen Fiew Benton Myres was born August 31, 1913, in Frost, Navarro County to John Thomas and Elizabeth (Denn) Fiew. Helen was a housewife and member of Park Lake Drive Baptist Church for many years.
She was preceded in death by first husband, William F. Benton; second husband, Noah F. Myres; son, James

I am very proud and honored to have met Helen during a Christmas Holiday at Belinda and Marks’ home. She welcomed me into her home and instantly made me feel like family.
She blessed this earth with her grace and beauty. My prayers and sympathy goes out to her family and all that knew her.
Grandmother I never got the oppotunity to thank you for giving me such a great father he raised me and has been by my side unconditionally he is undoubtedly the way he is because he was raised by such a great woman. Granmother you took me in with out being of you flesh and blood and never showed me no diffrence I will forever carry this with me and follow now that I raise my kids and step kids. I thank God for bringing you into my life and letting me share a tiny piece of your life I only know that you will forever be engraved in my mind and hears

Mrs. Myres was truly an angel on Earth and I have no doubt she is an angel in Heaven. Wishing you all God’s strength and peace in the days and months ahead.
