Fred E. Storm, Sr., 79, of Chilton, passed away Saturday, February 22nd at a local hospital. Funeral services will be 10AM Tuesday, February 25th at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon William deGraffenried officiating. Burial will follow at White Rock Cemetery in Ross. Visitation will be 6 to 8PM Monday, February 24th at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco. Fred was born May 31, 1934 in Waco to Fred Leonard and Irene (Barton) Storm. He graduated from LaVega High School in 1952 and also played on the state football team. He married Peggy Juanell Holt on July 5, 1952. Together, they had four children. Fred worked in the milk industry for 36 years; retiring from Pure Milk in 1996. He married Patti (Douglas) Ellis on May 29, 1994. After retirement, Fred enjoyed raising cattle and hunting with his sons and grandsons. He was passionate about helping others. He also served as a longtime member of Chilton I.S.D. School Board, and as a board member of West Brazos Water Supply. He loved his family dearly and was especially proud of his children and grandchildren.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Peggy (Holt) Storm; and son, Fred E. Storm, Jr.

Fred is survived by his wife, Patti Storm of Chilton; children, Carol Welstead and husband Mark of Hewitt, Shirley Westerfield and husband Mike of Crawford, Tim Storm and wife Linda of Tyler, daughter-in-law, Diane Storm of Valley Mills; and step-daughters Steffani Ellis of Ft. Worth and Tiffani Ellis of Waco; grandchildren, Matt Welstead, Melissa Welstead, Brian Nystrom, Adam Nystrom, Clayton Nystrom, Matt Westerfield, Amanda Jones, Brian Westerfield, Brittney Maness, Laurie Taylor, Brandon Storm, Jenny Feghali, Amber Storm, and Aaron Storm; 14 great grandchildren; sister, Pat Ogden of Groesbeck; brothers Donald Storm and wife Marilyn of Glenn Heights, and Bobby Storm and wife Brenda of China Spring; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons.

In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to Chilton Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 537, Chilton, TX 76632.
