Lindsey Eric Obit

Shawn Eric Lindsey, 45, of South Bosque, was taken from us on July 18, 2021.

Service Information: A visitation is to be held Sunday, July 25, 2021 from 2:00 to 3:00 pm with a celebration of life service to follow beginning at 3:00 pm at Lake Shore Funeral Home & Crematory, 5201 Steinbeck Bend.

Eric was born on January 27, 1976 in Fairfield, California to Linda (Jan) Ammann. He attended Axtell High School until his senior year. He then began working full-time and took correspondence courses until he graduated from Newport Pacific High School in 1995. When Eric was 15 years old, he took a part time job with L&G Sound Company which is owned and operated by Lewis and Gena Castlow. This quickly developed into a life-long brotherhood between Eric and Lewis. After various other jobs he took a job with the Texas REALTORS where he remained employed for 11 years until his passing. A job he truly loved and enjoyed.

Eric danced his way into the heart of Amanda Rae Byrd, the one true love of his life. They were married on May 5, 2007 and this was the beginning of the love, laughter, and adventures they shared in married life and parenthood.

Eric always lived life to the fullest with his family, friends, co-workers and anyone he ever encountered. He enjoyed dancing, music, all the things related to the beach, his little buddy Snickers the wiener dog, and riding in his firetruck red 2005 Jeep TJ known as the “Mistress”. Eric always wanted to help people in any way he could. He was always so upbeat and positive. He always wanted to live life to the fullest and enjoy every moment. Eric was the happiest with his toes in the water, his ass in the sand, a cold margarita, and a song from the band. That’s why his road goes on forever and the party never ends.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Billy Joe and Shirley Walter.

He is survived by his mother, Jan Ammann; wife, Amanda; son, Jackson; and daughters, Alexa and Alyssa.

My heart is with your family. Eric was a very special man. Greg and I were so very fond of him. We met him as a teen when he worked for us during his high school work study program. Later we were blessed to reunite with him at square dance activities. Eric was such a great dad to bring his daughter to square dance and wait for her. While Erice was there, Greg would visit with Eric. They loved laughing about their antics, stories and old friends. I loved to watch them and see the delight in their eyes. He brought Greg so much happiness during their visits. Eric was a good man, a good friend. We will miss him.

Condolence from James Marques on August 15th, 2021 11:02 pm

I ran into Jan Ammann, Eric’s mom in HEB tonight. She shared with me the tragic news about the loss of her son. She used to work in Physical Therapy at Coryell County. It’s ironic because I remember hearing about this accident in the news on the day it happened. Truly a sad day for her family and us all. May God watch over their family to keep them strong.
