Jack Duane Butler III, 52, of Eddy, tragically passed away Sunday, October 17, 2021.

Visitation: 2 to 4 PM, Sunday October 24, 2021 at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco.

A private graveside service will be held at Waco Memorial Park.

Duane was born on April 9, 1969 in Pasadena. Most of his childhood, he lived in Hewitt and graduated from Midway in 1987. He married Christie Oswald January 15, 1994. Duane was the longtime owner and operator of Butler’s STS, specializing in hauling windmill blades. He spent many years and long hours on the road working and providing a comfortable life for his family. When he wasn’t working Duane enjoyed vacationing in Mexico and Colorado. He loved his family more than anything. He was a beloved husband, father, and Papa. One of his greatest joys was his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by father, Larry Maxwell; grandparents, Doyal and Jewell Clanton, Jack and Edith Butler, Wilbert and Clover Maxwell, and Dorothy Moore.

He is survived by his wife, Christie Butler; son, Dalton Butler, and wife Logan; daughter, Delanie Butler; grandchildren, Bowen, Reese, and Hadleigh (due in January); mother, Sharon Maxwell; brother, Eric Maxwell, and wife Susan; sisters, Jennifer Maxwell, Shae Maxwell, and Sandra Butler; mother-in-law, Cynthia Oswald; brother-in-law, Andrew Oswald, and numerous other loved ones.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
