Donald Coy Beaman, 63, of Thornton, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2021
Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 27, at the John Knox Texas Ranger Memorial Center at the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum in Waco
Our family is deeply saddened to announce the sudden passing of Coy Beaman. Coy was a second generation railroader with over 40 years in the industry starting his career as a Signal Maintainer on the Southern Pacific. After a brief stint of commercial fishing in Alaska, Coy returned to the lower 48 to resume his railroad career.
His first entrepreneurial challenge was jointly forming RailComm, then started Global Rail Systems which was purchased by a foreign entity, before putting the team together at Advanced Rail Systems.
Coy will be forever remembered for his vision and determination, his ability to identify and solve problems and his support of those less fortunate.
He is survived by his wife, Mona; daughter, Ann and her husband, Jimmie; granddaughter, Alyssa; and grandson, Trey. He is also survived by his son, Joshua and his wife, Britney; son, Aaron and his wife, Taylor; and grandson, Maverick.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials in Coy’s memory be made to Texas Lions Camp in his honor.

Mona and family,
I just found out this morning about Coy’s passing. It is with a heavy heart that I write this condolence note and struggle to find the words.
I met Coy thru the rail industry as I sold concrete grade crossings and he was in the signal side of the business at that time some 20 years ago. We would catch up with each other at trade shows and meetings and conversation would always be about family.
I know we will all see Coy again in heaven and feel that it will be a much more special place for y’all knowing he is there.
I pray that our lord and savior will give your family the strength needed in your life during this next chapter without Coy.

Coy was one of a kind. I hired Coy at GRS…one of the hardest working and positive thinkers I knew. He will be missed..
