Dewayne Ace Winn, 54 of Waco, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 17, 2016 surrounded by his family.
Visitation: Wednesday, January 20, 2016 from 11:00AM to 12:00PM at Journey Christian Community, 10424 China Spring Road, Waco 76708

Dewayne worked for NuMotion for the past 6 years. He loved his job for he touched the lives of many special needs people. He especially loved working with children. Dewayne never failed to share the love of Jesus with anyone he came in contact with. He was a faithful member of Journey Christian Community Church. Dewayne loved his beloved wife, sons and grandsons. He also loved getting together for the Wheeler family “Thanksmas” and going to the beach in the summer.
Dewayne was preceded in death by Don Allen “Bubba” Winn; his special uncle, C.L. Wheeler and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Wheeler Winn; sons, Dustin Winn and Jessica West and Landon Winn and Emily Barak; grandsons, Cade Winn and Lathen Winn; his mother, Shirley Bennett; his father, Don Allen Winn; sister, Connie Degner; father and mother in law, Eddie and Mary Wheeler; and a host of other family members.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be sent to Empowerment House, 11801 China Spring Road, Waco, 76708.

We love you Uncle Dewayne. We are thankful to have shared so many memories with you. Love you lots Aunt Lisa, Dustin, Cade, Lathen, Landon & Emily.
Dewayne you will forever be missed. I enjoyed our times at United rehab specialists and then our move to what became NuMotion. My condolences to Lisa and all your boys. Fly high and smile down on us all. Thank you for the friendship, laughter and advice during those many years at work.
Lisa my heart goes out to you and the boys and grandsons, I know you are all hurting and I wish there was someway to make it easier, God is good and Heaven gained a good one, I believe we all meet again someday, God Bless
Lisa our hearts are heavy for the loss of Dewayne. It’s comforted only by the knowledge of his walk with the Lord. He has been a great friend over the many years and a inspiration to me and I’m sure many many others. May God be with you all and comfort you.

Dewayne worked with my son Brock. He was so great with Brock, and they would always give each other a hard time about the Aggies and Baylor Bears. Our condolences to you and your family. He was a great man, and will be missed.

I lived down the road from dewayne, he was a year behind me in school in Jacksonville. We lived in a community called New Hope. . Dewayne and I hauled hay together and he was a real good guy. Just heard about this and I’m so sorry for his family. We lost touch after high school but it sure looks like he had a wonderful life. Most of all, I’m so glad he knew The Lord. Rest in peace, Dewayne.

Lisa and family, we are so sorry for your loss! We only met Dewayne once or twice but we feel like we knew him since his number 1 fan, his SIL Cathy, talked about him and was so proud of him and his love for Jesus! He is with Jesus now and we look forward to meeting him again in Heaven. To Lisa and family, I sure hated to hear this happened. Dewayne was one tough dude, even at a young age. I meet him and became friends with him at the sale barn when I was 11. He,David Bateman , David Ivy, and a few others always kept me going. We had a blast. Then we hit the party years and had some wild old times.
