David was like a brother to me an great friend!!! We met when I was about 8or9 yrs old , my only brother ( Pete ) married one of his five sisters ( Mary ) they were very young. As I got to know David we did many things together ,ride bicycles to Cameron Park , building model cars , listening to rock, soul music, it was the 60s.In the 70s we were in high school together for two yrs at Jefferson Moore High School across the street from St. Frances Church, I bought my first car a 1964 Ford Galaxy 500 in ( solid red ) in 1972 an David became my driving buddy ,we went to the drive inn movies often an cruise Cameron Park also ,he always took up for me in fights cause we both knew I was not a fighter, I never saw David scared of anyone, so I came to admire him for his courage an friendship ,we laughed together so much cause we could, we even had a kind of secret code or language.David was so good to me ,he would invite me to his house Saturday night to watch wrestling live from Ft Worth with his Dad in B&W those days. All David s sisters are pretty an his only brother Carlis was also very nice to me.When i found out he had become ill I went to see him at the Hospital. we talked about good times an memories, then a old man came in with his wife an some how knew David an his family, he proceeded to ask David what illness did he have an told David how he was faced with a terminal illness by his Doctor’s, then he told of how his wife an family prayed for a miracle cure an it was granted by the lord ,so he asked David if he would like to all join hands an pray ,half way through I got emotional an starting crying, David looked at me an said it’s alright brother an he said it in a tone of voice that I haven’t heard since we were childhood friends. I felt so strange after he passed away fore awhile, but then I started to see how lucky I was to even experience his friendship an company it really was a miracle from God himself. I will still treasure my friend David an my memories of him beyond forever he was the best!!!
