Mitchell Tynes, 30, passed away August 29, 2015.
Funeral Services: Friday, September 4, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Lake Shore Funeral Home with Father Augustine Ariwaodo officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in West.
Mitchell was born December 23, 1984 in Waco, Texas to Blake Tynes and Paula Hamlin. He attended Connally High School. Mitchell loved music and enjoyed playing guitar. He also liked fishing, going to the beach, and was a huge sports fan, especially of boxing. Mitchell had a gorgeous smile and was such a gentle soul, never uttering a negative word about anyone. Mitchell was a loving son, brother and uncle, and adored his family and friends. He considered his father his best friend. He will truly be missed.
Mitchell was preceded in death by his grandfather, Dalton Tynes; grandmother, Hazel Hamlin; and great-grandmother, Georgia Cocek.
He is survived by his father, Blake Tynes; mother Paula (Hamlin) Tynes; sisters, Teresa Tynes Finlay and Lorrin Tynes Marquez; four nephews; one niece; grandmother, Joyce Tynes; grandfather, Charles Hamlin; and numerous aunts, uncles, and other relatives.

Oh my baby brother! I knew your time was coming. You knew your time was coming. We had may discussion about life and death. The acceptance to God our Heavenly Father! I will talk to you every day as we promised. You remember your promise to talk back too! You are one of the best things that has ever happened to me and I am so lucky to know you! Thank you God for giving him to us for as long as you did!
My heart breaks for my brother Blake and for Paula, Teresa and Lorrin. Mitchell was such a quiet and kind boy. He was and still is loved so much. Rest in peace nephew.
REST IN PEACE MITCHELL. I KNOW ITS ALWAYS HARD LOSING A LOVED ONE MY THOUGHTS ARE WITH THE INTIRE FAIMLY. I REALLY BEELIVE THAT WHEN HE PASSED ALL THE ONES BEFORE HIM WAS SHOUTING AND REJOICING SAYING HERE HE COMES WOO HOO HERE COMES MITCHEL! Blake, our hearts hurt for you and your family. So so so sad to hearing of the passing of your son Mitch. He was always such a sweet young man. Please accept our deepest condolences. Heaven has gained another angel. RIP Mitchell, and strum your guitar with the other greats in heaven.

To the Tynes and Hamlin families… I’m so sorry to learn of your loss. I never met Paula and Blake’s boy but I did see him once. Around 15 years ago, I was sitting in my truck at a gas station and saw this kid walk past. At first, I thought he was Blake. It took a whole minute for me to realize this had to be his son. He looked so much like him that day. There are really no words for the loss of one’s child. All I can say is I’ll be thinking of all of you in the days to come and sending prayers…
