He was a devoted husband and father of three boys.  His passion was spending time with his family and friends at the beach, fishing, or at the deer lease.  Later in life, he most cherished the time spent with Jackie, his two grandsons, and precious granddaughter.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jackie McClendon of Waco; two sons, Michael Brent McClendon and wife Gayla of Waco, and Wade Alan McCLendon and wife Ashley of Waco; two grandsons, Grayson and Grant McClendon; one granddaughter, Abby McClendon; two brothers, Ron McClendon and wife Denise of Leander, and Mark McClendon and wife Sue of Mico; two sisters, Patsy Walker of Kemp, and Rhonda Jordan and husband Brian of Royce City; one brother in law, Darrell Maloy of Waco; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other family members.

The family wishes to express its gratitude to Dr. Yvonne Coyle, Patsy Aday, and the staff at Baylor Sammons Oncology, as well as Saint Catherine’s Center Hospice Care.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial donations in Dale’s honor be made to the charity of your choice.

Condolence from Jack & Linda Henry on June 26th, 2014 7:20 pm

Jackie and Family, I’m proud to call Dale McClendon my friend. I wished I had a video of all the great times we had hunting & playing poker with Dale and the boys. Talk about great memories. Some people live their life without a Husband, Dad, Father inLaw, Brother, Grandpaw, Cousin, Friend as good as what Dale was and for that we all need to feel truly blessed. Our prayers and thoughts are with all.
