Claude E. Jaynes, 81, of China Spring, passed away on Thursday, August 6th.

Graveside Services:
10AM Tuesday, August 11th at China Spring Cemetery.

Visitation: 6 to 8PM Monday, August 10th at Lake Shore Funeral Home.

Claude was born April 17, 1934 in Waco, Texas to the late Claude and Willie Mae (Alexander) Jaynes. On July 28, 1956, he married his high school sweetheart, Marie Newton. They later raised three sons, Wayne, Jeff and Jason, that grew up in China Spring. Claude was a Waco Tech. Grad. Class of ’54. He served in the US Army, worked for Rainbo Bakery, General Dynamics, Wm. Cameron Co., and was owner of Claude E. Jaynes Tractor & Landscape. Claude was a member of the First Baptist Church of China Spring. He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

Claude was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Jaynes; his parents; a daughter; and grandson, Max High Jaynes.

Survivors include his sons, Wayne Jaynes and wife Jamey of Robinson, Jeff Jaynes of China Spring, and Jason Jaynes and wife Christy of China Spring; granddaughters, Tiffany (Jaynes) Daughtry and husband Matt, Jenna Jaynes and fiancé Robert Buckner, Joanna Jaynes, Jesse Jaynes, Morgan Jaynes, Madison Jaynes, Jessica Ann Jaynes, and Rylie Parker; grandsons, Justin Jaynes, Mason Jaynes, Hunter Jaynes, Braden Jaynes, Austin Parker, Joey Brooks and Andrew Aleman; great-granddaughter, Reagan Daughtry; sisters-in-law Doris June Fitzhugh, Helen Ruth Mathis, Lois Newton, Peggy Parks, Nancy Taylor, Jeannie and husband Richard Melton, and Liz Newton; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

The family would like to acknowledge a special thank you to caregiver and friend Almarita Evans, as well as Monte Don Grayson, who was as close as a brother could be, for all their love support and friendship.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of China Spring.
