Beth Udyene Babcock, age 94, passed away December 29, 2016 at a Waco, Texas nursing home.
Memorial service: Service will be held at a later date.
She was born in Box Butte County to the late Ray and Blanche Garwood. She attended school in Alliance, Nebraska and went on to further her education at a business college in Denver, Colorado.
Beth was married to her husband, Howard, in Los Angeles, California on February 13, 1942. Beth and Howard owned and operated a carpet laying business in Scottsbluff, Nebraska for more than 30 years. They were active members of the First United Presbyterian Church.
Beth was predeceased by her parents, husband Howard; sister Lila Retke; brother Max Garwood and infant son, Stephen.
Survivors include her daughter Sherry Jackson and her husband Ron of Kalona, Iowa; daughter Kay Garner and her husband Bill of Crawford, Texas; grandchildren, Carie Whitehead, Jeremy Garner and Sarah Garner; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

I remember being friends and being in your home as a child. I am sorry to hear of your Mother’s passing.

Losing your parents is a difficult time. I loved both of them and tried to keep in touch over the years. They were very special people and I considered them role models for me as I grew into adulthood. It doesn’t matter how you may have prepared yourself for their loss – it is still hard to imagine life without them. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
