Condolence from Dot Graham RN on September 17th, 2018 11:44 pm

I worked with Alice @ DePaul for several years up until 2010. One day a week, usually on Fridays, I assisted hher with quality management & nursing staff education. We shared office space & would have great conversations about our pets, our kids, all while trying to solve the world’s problems & get our work done. Alice was a great coworker, friend, teacher, and mentor to many. She loved nursing so much, and loved her daughter more than anything. My prayers are with Alice’s family.

Condolence from Katherine Vrba on September 18th, 2018 6:20 pm

I worked with Alice at DePaul for 3 years. Every morning she would come into my office @ Senior Gateway (conveniently located next to the cafeteria!) and we would have breakfast together, chatting and laughing the whole time. Dr. Lebeau (Alice, please give him a hug for me!) and Sister Mary T would come later in the morning and then we (you all know who you are) would all have lunch together. Alice, along with everyone else, always provided interesting and funny stories, and we would all have a great time. Alice was witty, very pretty, and very smart. She was a reliable source for work issues, and would always lend a hand if needed. Even though we hadn’t talked to one another in several years, I kept up with her through mutual friends. I was very sad to hear that she was on hospice care; even sadder to hear of her untimely passing. To quote my husband when I told him of her death, “She was so full of life!” That was Alice. Full of life. Godspeed to you!

Condolence from Sue Abney on September 18th, 2018 7:13 pm

John and I want to extend our deepest sympathies. Alice went straight from high school into nursing school. She was the youngest student in our class and I remember being so impressed that she was so driven for someone so young. Her smile was beautiful and contagious and John really enjoyed working with her at DePaul. It is unreal to us that she is no longer here. You are in our prayers.

Thank you Alice for being The Best Friend.
I remember fondly the omlets we would divide and share because they were so big. It was always going to be a good day. I thank you for listening, supporting and loving me. Your heart was always big and you ALWAYS had room for one more. You were the best girlfriend a gay guy could ever have!!!
Ashlyn, your Mother was SO proud of you. She spoke of you with the up most pride and love. She was So proud!
Mr. & Mrs. Band, thank you for the wonderful gift of your daughter Alice.
Her work of 45 years was the work of a 100 years. I believe she was the hands and feet of Christ.

You rest Alice and I thank you VERY much!

Condolence from Amanda Sonnier on September 19th, 2018 8:38 am

I will never forget our conversations, from advice about being a mother, experiences in healthcare to just cutting up and being silly. Alice’s laugh was infectious and she could always brighten a room with her sense of humor. Her compassion was evident whether she was caring for a patient, teaching a new associate, or talking to a co-worker. She exuded a zest for life and was always willing to help others. Alice was my coworker St. Catherine and quickly became my friend. I will cherish the memories I have of her. Alice ~~ you will be missed. Thank you for your giving heart and your wittiness most of all thanks for being my friend.

Condolence from John Abney on September 19th, 2018 9:37 am

Alice graduated in the same class as my wife. She worked with me for a short while at DePaul. Over the years I would run into her occasionally at Providence. I counted her as a good friend. She was always a whirlwind of advice, intelligence and good cheer. God took her home so he could show the angels what a smile should look like. Oh, and by the way that girl was quite the gardener. She grew a ton of beautiful veggies.
Bob and Donna I am very sorry for your loss. Alice was a very special person, I will always remember her and will always say she was my friend.

To the Adam Family, Please accept my sincerest condolences for your loss of such a young lady. It is so hard to loose a family member especially at such a young age. Please remember that we are promised by Jesus that we have an opportunity to see our loved ones again here on earth. John 5:28+29 gives us such a wonderful hope, please read it for yourself and be encouraged as I was when I lost my Dad.

Condolence from LA on September 30th, 2018 7:43 pm
