Xanthia Foulks, 78, of Waco, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Providence Hospice Place in Waco. According to her wishes, cremation was arranged through Lake Shore Funeral Home.

Xanthia was a school teacher for 25 years. She started her career at Waco High School and later taught at Richfield High School in Waco. She completed her distinguished career at Trinity High School in the Hurst-Euless-Bedford School District.

Xanthia was married to her husband, James Evans Foulks, for 56 years.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Zachary Retz, who died in 2008.

Xanthia is survived by her husband, James; two daughters, Janet Foulks from the DFW area and Judy Marblestone of Brunswick, Maine. She also is survived by three grandchildren, Chad Retz of Dallas and Nolan and Chloe Marblestone of Brunswick, Maine.
