Willis L. “Mac” McMahan, age 92 of Waco passed away on April 29, 2021 in Waco, Texas.

Service Information: Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m., Monday, May 3, at Lake Shore Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., May 2, at the funeral home.

Mac was born November 24, 1928 in Ft. Worth, Texas the son of Willis C and Mary (Cleveland) McMahan.

He attended Texas A&M University until he was drafted into the U.S. Army  and later graduated from North Texas State University.

On August 5, 1955 he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Hensley.  Liz preceded him in death on July 13, 2009.

Mac was a member of Central Presbyterian Church where he was an active member of the choir.

He worked 32 ½ years for International Harvester Credit Corporation.  He enjoyed watching Aggie football and spending time with family & friends.  Especially his grandkids and great grandkids.

Mac was preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Nancy Farmer and Shirley Vendermeer; and a grandson, Jon Cody McMahan.

He is survived by a daughter Linda Heese and husband Martin of Waco, son, Hank McMahan of Abilene.  Grandchildren: Jamie Karl, and husband Dylan of Gholson; Dillon McMahan and husband Dustin Cole of Houston; and Kaylee McMahan of Cleveland Tennessee; great-grandchildren: Rhyder and Adalynn Karl.  A special friend Martha Ginsberg and many other friends and family.

A special thanks to Ascension at Home-Health, Visiting Angels, and St. Anthony’s Care Center & Compasses Hospice for all their loving care the last few months.

Memorials may be made to Central Presbyterian Church.
