William Earl Davis, 72, of McGregor, passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2013. A private, family memorial service will be held at a later date. Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online Guest Book at www.LakeShoreFuneralHome.com.

William was born February 24, 1941 to L.B. and Estel (Gaske) Davis in Rockwall County. During his lifetime, he worked many years in construction, but his passion was welding. William loved nature and the outdoors, and any activity that involved the outdoors; camping, swimming, and cat fishing at Eagle Spring Lake.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Jimmy and Jesse Davis.

He is survived by his daughter Dana Gilliland and husband Jimmy of McGregor, and a grandson, Justin Gilliland, also of McGregor; step-son Garry Landers and wife Renee of Hillsboro; and three step-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Odyssey Hospice and Crestview Healthcare for all their help and kindness.
