I will really miss Uncle Weldon, I have so many loving memories of this man. He was hard headed, gentle loving and kind.
I remember going to the coast and camping in tents for a week at a time. He fished all day with dad and then we’d eat it for supper.
I also spent at least a week with them every summer, first in town then out on the farm.
I know he was well received in heaven by his CHICKEN (Aunt Shirley), his daughter Debbie, his two sisters , parents and all his friends.
I love you Uncle Weldon, fly with the angels and be at peace.

When someone we love goes home to be with the Lord, we know that they are without
pain and with their heavenly father. Sounds like everyone has wonderful memories to share and treasure. I send up prayers for JoAnn and family for comfort
and peace.

Thoughts and prayers to the Uptmor family in the loss of “Mr. Uptmor”. He was a man I’ll always remember for his Southern charm and humor, even to a smart-ass Yankee. He could tell a tale just like Andy Griffith and it was hard to tell whether he was pulling your leg or teaching you a lesson. Sometimes it was both. And the way he could whistle and make every jack rabbit within earshot stand at attention with their ears straight up, made quite an impression on me. Sorry especially to Jay and Butch who have lost their dad. I know he’ll be missed.

Uncle Weldon was the fun loving guy that always wanted to make you laugh either by doing or saying silly things. While at the family dairy he loved the fresh glass of milk and crackers. Weldon will be greatly missed! He is now in better place! Prayers for the family!

Condolence from Shannon Ellis on December 22nd, 2018 2:52 pm

My Grandpa, Weldon was an incredible man with a true heart and unconditional love that showed in the relationships he built with those he held dear. The time I spent with him and my Mima at the farm is a time I will cherish forever. This time was when I was taught what the real meaning of family meant.

I know Mima received him with arms wide open, and I know my Mom supported him when he said good-bye to us. I am thankful for his peace, I am deeply saddened for our loss, and I will be forever blessed he lived. What a great man to have shared his life with all of us.
