McCracken

Wiley Ross McCracken (better known as Mac), 92, of Elm Mott, passed away peacefully from natural causes at home in Elm Mott, Texas on Friday, November 20, 2020, with his loving and devoted daughter, Melody Grace Rominger, at his bedside.

He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-seven years, Sue King McCracken; parents, Ben and Grace McCracken; daughter, Cherie Ross Taylor; stepson, William Robert Elliott; sister, Betty Hartman; and brother, Sam McCracken.

He is survived by daughters, Melody Grace Rominger, and Dawn Elizabeth VonStorch; stepchildren, Richard Allan Elliott, Nancy June Coffinger, Michael Clay Brauchi, and Karen Sue Haynes; fifteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; and his cherished dog, Molly.

Born in Limestone, Tennessee, Mac joined the Air Force out of high school and retired after 20 years of service while serving in Anchorage, Alaska. He loved to travel and continued to move around the country working for military contractors, which included Dyna Electron, Bell Helicopter, E-Systems, Electro Space Incorporated (ESI) and eventually retiring from Chrysler Technology in Waco as an Aircraft Inspector.

He will be greatly missed by his family who know he is alive in the presence of his Lord and Savior.
