Virgie Mae Morris, 82, of Waco, passed on to be with her Lord and Savior away on Sunday, July 31, 2016.
Visitation: Wednesday, August 3, 2016 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend, Waco.
Graveside Service: Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 10:00AM at Oakwood Cemetery, Waco, Texas.
Virgie was born on February 15, 1934 in Groesbeck, Texas to the late Ollie and Erma Gladys Wills Hicks. Virgie enjoyed knitting and spending time with her family. Virgie married her love, Irwin Eddins Morris on January 4, 1980. Virgie and Irwin have been long time members of Park View Baptist Church in Waco. She was preceded in death by her parents Ollie and Erma Hicks and her sister, Edith Marie Lyles. Virgie’s faith, her strength and her loving nature will be truly missed.
Virgie will be cherished in memory by her loving husband of over 36 years, Irwin Morris; children, Billy Prescher and his wife Marty and Linda Prescher; stepdaughter, Melissa Odell and husband John and their family; her siblings, Marvin Lee Hicks, Robert Lee Hicks, Jack Edward Hicks, Ollie Eugene Hicks, Wanda Louise Whitacker and Emma Frances Burden; grandchildren, William Prescher and Daniel Prescher and his wife Kathryn; great-granddaughter, Ellie Prescher; along with a host of other loving family members and friends.

I am a dear friend of Irwin & Virgie. I was their pastor at First Assembly of God Marlin,TX from 1999 – 2000. I am saddened by Virgie’s passing and I am concerned about Irwin & Linda.
