Virgie Lee Robinett

Virgie Lee Robinett passed away April 3, 2023. Virgie was born July 19, 1928, in Gholson. She was the second daughter of William Edwin and Ellar Jane Landingham.  

Virgie attended school in Gholson and later moved to Waco. She worked in the shoe department for many years at Cox’s, Goldstein-Migel’s, Dunlaps, and Bealls Department Stores. Virgie enjoyed going for walks around the neighborhood and enjoyed talking with everyone she met. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, W.S. Sanders; second husband, Durwood Robinett; grandson, Jeff Bezdek; sisters, Jennie Slough, Evie Allen, and Katherine Gusewelle; and beloved pets, Eli and Ernie.  

She is survived by her daughters, Vicki Kirkpatrick, Pam Peacock, and Paula Robinett Schnizer; grandchildren, Heather Peacock and Hayley Lehoski; great grandchildren, Lauren Lehoski and Jude Miller; and beloved cats Roxi and Rizo. 

There are no services planned at this time.

The family would like to thank Accent Care Hospice and Visiting Angels. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Fuzzy Friends or a charity of your choice in her name.
