Thelma Cook, 87, of Waco, entered heaven with a smile on her face on Monday, February 01, 2010 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Services will be 2PM Friday, February 5th at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Suzanne Smith and Emma Pullen officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8PM Thursday, February 4th at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco. Mrs. Cook may be viewed starting Thursday morning. She was preceded in death by husband, Melvin Cook; granddaughter, Brandi Haverkamp; grandson, Russell Stewart; and brothers, Douglas Eaton, Roy Eaton, Louis Eaton, and Finley Eaton.

Survivors include daughters, Brenda Haverkamp and husband John of Riesel and Donna Blansit and husband Kenny of Axtell; sons, Melvin C. (Sonny) Cook and wife Ola of Hillsboro and Larry Cook of Waco; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; twin brothers, Willie Eaton of Amarillo and Billy Eaton and wife Bobbie of Abilene; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Matt Blansit, Billy Cook and grandson-in-law, Willie Rittenbaugh; and dear friends, Charles Johnson, Boyd Farmer and Floyd Farmer. Honorary pallbearers will be great grandsons.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the charity of your choice.
