Sylvia “Diane” Chane, 71 of Mexia, passed away Sunday April 3, 2022 in Waco, TX.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday April 23, 2022 at Timbercrest Baptist Church Fellowship Hall (1625 Crow Drive) in Waco, TX at 1:00pm.

Diane was born December 14, 1950 in Waco to Thomas (Hebe) Chane & Dorothy Capps Chane. Diane attended school at LaVega ISD, and graduated in 1970. Diane attended college at MCC and Baylor University in Waco. Diane had many career adventures throughout her life, before retiring. Diane enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, going to casinos, and playing cards with her friends.

Diane is preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Dorothy & Jack Hall; father, Thomas (Hebe) Chane; brothers, Thomas W. Chane and Ronald Hall.

Diane is survived by her sister in law, Janette Chane; brother, Donald Hall; nephew, Troy Chane and  Amanda; niece, Jennifer Grabs and husband Mark; nephew, Kerry Don Hall and wife Amber; niece, Maegan Hall Wiley and husband Holden; great-nephew, Colton Grabs; great-nieces, Makayla and Kynlee Grabs and Maddy and Hannah Hall, along with a host of cousins and close friends.

    Diane’s never ending school spirit and team support was legend, and her jokes and infectious laughter made her fun to be around. She patiently mentored my daughter through her first job after graduation from.high school. Diane always lived life to the fullest and will be missed by all whose lives she touched.
