Stephen “Bubba” Lee Burns, Jr., age 48 of China Spring, Texas passed on to the arms of our Lord and Savior September 15, 2022. Stephen passed away surrounded by family as our Lord took Stephen home.

Visitation:   5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at Lakeshore Funeral Home in Waco, Texas.

Graveside Services:  11:00 am Thursday, September 22, 2022 at China Spring Cemetery, 15654 Old China Spring Rd., China Spring, Texas

Stephen was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Francis Cates and Monroe Burns; maternal grandparents, Marie Wiggins and Wayne Meals. He was also predeceased by his nephew, Justin Lee Rightmer; his uncles, Charles Meals and Billy Meals; and his aunt, Mary Sanders.

Stephen is survived by his parents, Ken and Linda Carver; and Steve and Donna Burns; his sister and brother-in-law, Frank and Angelia Benjamin; brother, Kevin Carver; and four step-siblings. Stephen is also survived by his children and grandchildren that he cherished: children, Dustin and Ashley Burns; Cole and Heather Burns, Brittany and husband, Ty Whitson; and Levi Burns; grandchildren, Huxley and Ellie Burns; Walter and Henry Burns.  Other surviving family members include his aunt and uncle, Don and Dot Smith; six cousins; two nieces; two nephews; two great nieces; and five great nephews.

Stephen will be always remembered and sorely missed and forever loved.

My son was a great man and he had 4 children, he was a mommy’s baby. We where so close. I fill like I’m dying with him. My heart is broken. His sister is the strong one, she took care him and me.
