Steve Ihlenfeldt, 63, of Waco, passed away Tuesday, August 26th at a local Hospice Care Facility.

Funeral services: 2 PM Saturday, August 30, 2014, at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Stinson officiating.

Burial: White Rock Cemetery in Ross, TX.

Visitation: 6 to 8 PM Friday, August 29th at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend in Waco.

Steve was born January 24, 1951 in Waco, to Samuel and Dorothy (Gribble) Ihlenfeldt. He was the owner of “The Spur” in Lacy Lakeview for the past 15 years. He also owned and operated his own flooring installation business for over 40 years. He was the former owner of P&S Surplus in McGregor for 12 years. Steve loved the outdoors especially, hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his father, Sam Ihlenfeldt; stepfather, Bobbie K. Hickman; sister, Yvonne Gordon; grandparents, William and Mary Ihlenfeldt, and Elmer and Beaulah Gribble.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Ihlenfeldt; sons, Stephen Ihlenfeldt and wife Tammy, Gaylen Ihlenfeldt and wife Mandy, and Danny Ihlenfeldt; daughters, Wendy Puig and Kaylee Ihlenfeldt; 3 stepchildren; 26 Grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; mother, Dorothy Hickman; brothers, Darrell Ihlenfeldt and wife Jacki; and Bobby Hickman; sister, Becke Lord; 4 aunts; and 1 uncle; special friends, Debbie and Wade Bargeron, Brian Brich, Jeannie Willis, and Carrie Daniel; and numerous friends and other relatives.

Special thanks to Providence Hospital staff and nurses at 3 North, ICU and Providence Hospice Place.

He was loved by many and he will be greatly missed.

  14. Steve gave me my first show in Waco at the Spur several years ago. I worked for him off and on over the years. Always a fair and decent man. He would give you the shirt off his back. He never refused a friend in need. I am proud to have known him and call him friend. You will be missed my friend, I will see you again someday.
