Sinda Sue Castillo, 65, of Waco, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Scott & White Medical Center in Temple.

Visitation: 11:30 a.m. Saturday, October 12, at Lake Shore Funeral Home

Burial: Bosqueville Cemetery

Sinda was born October 13, 1953 in Waco to Kenneth William Banks and Doris Whited Banks. She attended Waco High School. She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witness July 7, 1970 and continued to teach and raised her family in her beliefs of Jehovah Gods Promises. Sinda married Little Joe Castillo December 5, 1970.

She raised four boys and helped in the family business as office manager of LJ’s Plumbing. She was also a licensed Esthetician and partner of Blue Moon Salon. Sinda enjoyed watching her boys at all their baseball games an spending time with family and friends. She loved having her kids and grandchildren over to have fun in the Game Room and swim in the pool and even watching Yeti, her granddog swim.

Sinda enjoyed traveling with her lifelong friends, Debbie and Ellen where ever they would take her including camping “Sister’s on the Fly”.

Sinda spent every chance she could to just hang out with her special friend Velvet going to every venue they could get into.

She will always be remembered as “Mimi”

She was preceded in death by her parents, K.W. Banks and Doris Banks; and her brother, Donald Banks.

Sinda is survived by her husband, Little Joe Castillo; sons, LJ Shawn Castillo, LJ Shane and wife, Samantha, LJ Sheridan Castillo and LJ Shaylon Castillo and wife, Jamie; grandkids, Ryan, Aaron, Conner, Jasmine, Brittany, D’Asia, Jay, Daylynn and Brooklyn; brothers, Benny Whited and wife, Wanda and Kenneth Whited and wife, Connie; sister, Versie Ortiz; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Ryan Castillo, Aaron Castillo and Jay Clatterbuck and nephews, Ronnie McCoy, Robbie Whited and Justin Phillips.

Honorary pallbearers will be grandson, Conner Castillo and nephew, Benjamin Ortiz.

Very sad to hear that she lost her battle, she was such a sweet, compassionate lady! My thoughts and prayers are going out to the family and loved ones. She will certainly be missed!
