Shirley, you were one of my closest and dearest friends and it’s still hard for me to believe you are gone. You were always there for me and boy did we have some good times together. Through the happy times, sad times and tough times our friendship stayed strong. I am at peace knowing you are in Heaven with no more suffering. No more breathing problems. I know I will see you again. To your family I send my prayers and love.

Shirley Gail, I find myself checking my phone to see if you have called or sent me a text. We checked in with one another every single day…I still can’t believe your gone, it feels so unreal. I can’t grasp the fact that I won’t see you or hear your voice again for the reminder of my days. Talking to you was part of my daily routine…I feel as if time as stopped because I haven’t heard from you this week. I wasn’t ready to say goodbye, G-Ball. When we met you were just my best friend’s mom, but as the years rolled by you became my best friend too. Thank you for being there for me for the past 31 years. Thank you for your friendship. Thank you for helping me with life’s necessities when times got hard. Thank you for always taking the time to listen. Thank you for bringing Mandy into this World! Thank you for the memories. Thank you for the laughter. You will always be the funniest person I have ever met in my life! We understood each others awkward, unfiltered, annoying, and some might say cruel sense of humor. lol Shirley Gail, thank you so much for being you. Not a single day will go by without me thinking of you. I love you, shoelicka. Give Jimmy Joe a hug for me.
