    RESOLUTION
To: Rev. Ron C. Lee, Sr.
Whereas It is with deep sympathy and tenderness of heart that we, the pastors and members of the Lone Star District Association of Texas, your friends and co-laborers in Christ, send you these words to express, in a feeble way our sincere sympathy for you in the death of your beloved father, Bro. Shelly Roy Lee, Sr. We are hoping that they will in some degree give you some comfort and cheer in this dark hour.
We know the passing of Bro. Lee is the will of God, and yet, there is a human tie that has been broken, which bleeds the heart in agony and pain. You should not mourn his passing but rejoice as we know he has gone to a home more beautiful than any we have ever known in that world beyond our vision called Heaven.
“There’s an open gate at the end of the road
Through which each must go alone
And there, in light we cannot see,
    Our Father claims His own.
Beyond the gate your loved one finds happiness and rest
And there is comfort in the thought that a loving God knows best.”

We express to the family and all others here today our deep sympathy for your loss and the reminder that your loss is heaven’s gain. Hold your head high and be strong, knowing you did what you could for his comfort, ease, and peace, until the end. God saw and He knows, therefore we commend you to Him, who can comfort and cheer, and will dry your tears and heal your broken heart if you will put your unwavering faith in Him for earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal. You must find comfort and consolation in the words of Jesus, who said: “Cast your burdens on Him because he cares for you” (1Peter 5:7).
Be it resolved, that we bow in humble submission to the will of God, and commend the bereaved family to Him who sees all and knows every heart; and entreat them, “Console yourselves in the hope of a reunion, so that after life’s remaining ills are past, it is like healing oil to the wounded heart, comforted with pleasing thoughts rather than sad.
He will ever be near you, though unseen. He served his Lord with a beautiful Christian life; his influence will always live in the lives of those he was around. He has worked hard and is now at rest. Bro. Lee has fallen in life’s battle, acknowledged the supremacy of death, yielded to a victory that no one can resist, and entered upon a complete rest. It was decreed in the beginning, “all must die”; but we shall rise from death to everlasting life if we are faithful unto death in the cause of Christ. “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints. For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord; whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s.”
We are praying for you; you must also pray, for time and prayer will bring you relief. Make God your hope and look up to the hills from cometh your help. May God bless you and give you strength and courage.
    Humbly submitted,
Lone Star District Association of Texas,
