Scott Anthony Spriggs III of Texas City, Texas, was called home to the Lord on January 2, 2013.
Scott was born Sept. 21, 1943, to Darlene Menefee and Scott Spriggs Jr. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1961 to 1965. Scott worked in maintenance after his military service to his country.
Scott was a loving father, grandfather and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his step-parents, Floyd Menefee of Buffalo, Texas, and Opal Spriggs of Atlanta, Texas.
He leaves behind his only son, Scott Spriggs IV; two brothers, John W. Menefee and Carl R. Menefee; three grandchildren, Clayton, Logan, Amber; and two step-grandchildren, Nathan and Michelle. He also leaves behind many friends, too numerous to count.
