Sandra Kay Haggard, 66, of Waco, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Baylor Scott & White Hospital.

Service Information: A memorial service will be held at Karem Shrine at yet to be determined date.

Sandy was born in Albion, Michigan on September 25, 1954 to L.G. (John) Cleveland, and Charlotte May Cleveland. Sandy has five brothers, Big Ronnie, Arthur Cleveland, Ronnie Cleveland, John Cleveland, and Ricky Cleveland. Sandy was the oldest of four sisters, Judy Cleveland, Mary Gonzales, and Karol Gaddy.  She has as well many nieces and nephews, including namesake, Sandy Miles.

Sandra Kay Cleveland married Paul Andrew Haggard December 11, 1981 and was extremely proud to be Andy’s soul mate, Sandra Kay Haggard.

Sandy was blessed with two daughters, Samantha Mae Smith and Tabitha Kay Perryman; grandchildren, Andrew Smith, Seth Ramsdell, Stone Smith, Brett Perryman, Karah Thompson and Cassandra Smith who is carrying on Sandy’s name; great-grandchildren, Brady Thompson, Bryleigh Thompson, Beckett Thompson and an additional great-grandchild to be born to Cassandra & Eli.

Sandy thrived in martial arts, earning multiple black belts in various styles, one of the highest ranking females with a 4th degree black belt in Jujitsu. She was a member of the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame, the Society of Black Belts, a dedicated board member of Aibu-Jitsu Ryu International Federation and a beloved instructor loved by Martial Artists everywhere.

Sandy and Andy started Construction Force, Inc.  in 2007 out of their house in Bosqueville. It has become a successful business now located in China Spring.

Sandy was an active driver in transporting children to The Shriner’s Hospitals for Children. Sandy engaged with patients and made each trip a wonderful adventure. All of the patients as well as their parents loved Sandy.

Last Christmas, I asked Sandy what she wanted. She replied, “I’ve got everything I want, I’m a very happy girl!” Sandy is now our Angel in Heaven, and is watching over us all.

Our family asks that in lieu of flowers; please send donations to Karem Shrine Hospital Transportation Fund in Sandy’s Name.
