Roy Don Priest, 50, of Bruceville, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2014. A memorial service in his honor will be held at 3pm, Friday, January 10th at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel, 5201 Steinbeck Bend, Waco. Roy was born February 5, 1963 to Gloria (Fraley) and Thomas A. Priest, Sr. in Anchorage, AK. During his life, he worked for P&S Trucking as a long haul truck driver. He loved the open road.

He is survived by his parents; one son, Jeffery Wood; one daughter, Amber Dreibelbis; two brothers, Thomas A. Priest Jr., and Timmy Priest; one sister, Tammy Fernandez; six nieces and nephews; as well as numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.

  7. I wanted to remember Roy in a funny situation he and I was in when Roy was in the 7th grade and I was in the 8th,but we had PE at the same time. My locker was about 3 to 4 down from Roy’s but in between us was this massive kid and he for whatever reason didn’t like Roy and was pushing Roy around not realizing Roy’s cousin was standing 5ft away. We Priest’s take care of each other and lets just say big boy wasn’t a "problem" for us anymore, as a matter of fact, big boy, Roy and myself had come to a very good understanding!
    The world has lost a really good guy, but or loss is heaven’s gain.I love you Roy and forever carry your memory in my heart.

There are very few who doesn’t have a gripe and is ready to do whatever is asked of him. He was one of those – old school drivers. Now, Roy all your roads will be clear as you are in God’s hands.
