Roy Don Shaver Sr. passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at the age of 61 surrounded by family and friends.

Roy was born September 18, 1961 in Knox, Texas to Kenneth Shaver and Vera Mae Taylor. He attended church faithfully at Temple of Holiness Apostolic Church where he enjoyed playing the bass guitar. He was a loving father and friend. Roy was one of the funniest men you could ever meet. He would turn any negative situation into a positive one with a joke just to see you smile. Roy loved his car and truck as he was a “car enthusiast.” One of Roy’s best friends was his dog Coco which was very protective over him. He always dreamed of being a Rodeo Bull Rider.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Vera Mae Taylor; and brother, Kenton.
Roy is survived by daughters, Vera Cuffee and Sherry Shaver; son, Roy Shaver Jr., sisters, Pansey, Peggy, Arlene, and Ruby; and many others, including grandchildren, great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, and lots of great friends that Roy considered family.
