Ronald (Ron) Dwane Grismore, age 51, gained his angel wings May 17, 2022.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Church of the Open Door, 900 TX Loop 340, Waco, 76705. Pastor Ronnie Holmes, officiating.

Ron was a loving husband, father and pops. He met his loving wife, Lisa, at Church of the Open Door where they worked in kids ministry. He had a heart for children and wanted to make sure they learned about Jesus. He was willing to do anything, to make sure kids laughed and had a great time. Ron loved spending time with family and friends. He was the life of the party on our family camping trips. Ron was employed at Metals 2 Go Davis Steel Services. He loved his job and the people he worked with.

He was proceeded in death by parents, Joseph and Iva Mae Grismore; biological father, Gene Farmer; son, Cory Grismore; father-in-law, Ladis Marek; and mother-in-law, Mary Marek.

He is survived by wife, Lisa Marek Grismore of Waco; daughters, Marlana Grismore, Lora Marek Jones (De Marcus); son, Scott Marek (Charity); daughter-in-law Kaisha Natiel; biological mother, Charlene Hoffman (Robert); grandchildren, Maiyah Grismore, Matthew Jones, and Sutton Marek; brothers in law, Robert Marek, Joe Marek (Amy); nephews, Kyle and Karsen; and numerous cousins.

    Ron had a knack to make people laugh and feel comfortable. You could see the love he had for his family. He will truly be missed. Our prayers go out to the family.

  2. Ron you were such a great role model to so many, my kids being some. I am so honored to have you as my brother in law. You always knew what to say and when to say it and how to make us laugh. I will cherish the time we had together, esp Kalahari. Rest in Heaven

  3. This describes Ron well. He is one of my all time favorite people. His heart was so big and he did love family with all of his being! He was humble and thankful and so proud of what God provided. Praying for you all, that you will be comforted and find peace in Jesus. We are headed to heaven!

  6. There is a big hole in our family. Ron was someone I loved being around. He was always so kind to everyone and when Ron was around there was lots of laughter. I was so happy when God brought Lisa and Ron together. They truly love each other. He was a great dad to Marlana. He treated Lora and Scott like his own children. He loved all children!
    My mom always called Ron, Lisa’s trophy husband. I would always tell him he was my favorite cousin.
    Lisa will see her trophy husband and I will see my favorite cousin again one day in heaven.
    God give Lisa the strength & peace she will need to move forward in the days ahead.

  7. My Buddy , My Friend. My Brother. There truly are no words that can express the loss in my heart right now. You are one of the few people in my life let’s do besides me no matter what. I can call you anytime day or night and you were answering listen to me talk to me and make any situation brighter Brian he’s such an amazing person with a heart of gold and the love and caring for all of his friends I believe there’s a special place in heaven for people just like ron I’ll see you again my friend I love you Ron. 🥺
