Robert “RV” Vasquez, Sr.

Robert Vasquez Sr. “RV” of Waco passed away Saturday September 8, 2018 at a city hospital.

Service Information: Funeral services will be held at 11a.m., Monday, September 17, at Lake Shore Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 16, from 6-8p.m. at the Funeral Home.

Robert was born January 24, 1948 in Waco, TX to Joe and Julia Vasquez. He attended Waco schools and graduated from Waco High School. He was a beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He was the oldest of 13 children. Robert loved to be around his family and took great pride in caring for all his family members. He enjoyed many sports, football being his favorite. He was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers.

He is preceded in death by his parents Joe and Julia Vasquez, brothers Ruben, Paul, and Vincent Vasquez, and sister Linda Vasquez.

He is survived by two sons, Robert Vasquez Jr and wife Donna, Levi Machado, grandchildren Jeremy Vasquez and wife Natalie, Jericho and Jordan Vasquez; Jazzmine Vasquez and fiancé Rickie; Madeline and Marion Machado, and two great grandchildren; siblings Anna Chapa and husband Alex; Vickie Rodriguez and husband Jesse “Jaybird”; Carole Padilla, Della Vasquez, Randy Vasquez, Dianna Vasquez Sadler, Dora Aguilar, Ralph Vasquez, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Vasquez, Jericho Vasquez, Jordan Vasquez, Alex Chapa III, Jason Rodriguez, Vincent Vasquez II, Joshua Aguilar, Reuben Padilla II, Brandon Vasquez, Ralph Eric Vasquez, and Jesse Olvera.
