Richard Leighton Brantner, infant son of Fallon Helona and Kyle Brantner, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2008. Private Graveside services will be Thursday, August 21st at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. David Booker officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at Lake Shore Funeral Home, 5201 Steinbeck Bend, Waco. Survivors include Mom and Dad, brother, Michael Ruiz; sisters, Mikaela Ruiz and Kyler Brantner; grandparents, Laurie Helona and Kevin McGaugh, Mark Helona, Charlotte and Richard Brantner; great-grandparents, Lonnie and Linda Douthit, Raymond and Pat Helona, Betty and Robert Brantner, and Doris Bowen and the late Dan Bowen; great-great grandparents, Connie and Lola Douthit; aunts, Hillary Helona and Shelby Helona; uncle, William A. (Trey) Davidson III; great aunts and uncles, Lisa and Roy Black, Kim and Tommy Girard; and many cousins.

Our prayers are with this dear family. Our wonderful God has a plan for all of us, especially concerning this precious child. Richard Leighton Brantner has touched all of our hearts and we must stand firm in our faith that God is in control and this is part of His plan. The poem below has no author, but I felt a need to share this with the family. I know in my own heart that Baby Richard Leighton Branter is in God’s arm’s and is safe for all eternity. We love you all. God Bless every member of this child’s family. We have been so blessed to know Linda and Lonnie Douthit and their family.
