Richard “Ricky” Anthony Martinez, 48, of Waco, passed away Monday, January 13, 2020 at his residence.

Ricky was born July 29, 1971 in Waco to Lupe and Mary Martinez. He attended Waco High and then became a local area painting contractor. Ricky was a boxer, loved making money, loved slow jams and was the family joker. He loved his family and spending time with them. Ricky was known for having a heart of gold. One of his famous quotes and one that he always would say is “Make Money, Flip Money”.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lupe Martinez.
Ricky is survived by his mother, Mary Martinez; daughter, Jessica Rodriquez and husband, Edward Rodriquez; daughter, Kayla Martinez and husband, Miguel Morales; son, Richard Anthony Martinez Jr. “lil Ricky”; daughter, Zoey; daughter, Xena; sister, Sissy Martinez; sister, Yolanda Martinez; sister, Monica Martinez; twin brother, Stevie Martinez; sister, Lola Martinez; sister, Sophia Martinez; the mother of his children, Donna Martinez; grandson, Julius; granddaughter, Ariana; granddaughter, Aviani; and by many other family members and friends that loved him.

Ricky u will be missed ,remember and love always. The times I remember is when we took those summer vacation ,your little family Donna,Jessica ,Kayla ,baby Ricky and your Dad Me and our little family your other little sisters Lola and Sophia going to San Antonio and watching your team The Spurs having a parade downtown,vac. In Houston , going to that country Fair ,and going to the dances ,the club’s ,O yea let me remember when Stevie had 25 th club, that’s when the fun really started you , Stevie and your Daddy always being happy hugging,joking, just being your fun loving self,the three Musketeers just being together laughing (O that laugh ) those were good times for me but most of all you and Stevie and your Dad ,O how Your Dad loved his boys and all his other girls Sissy,Monica,Yoland,Lola and Sophia.you all shine when you were all together and showed off your slillyness And ,hamming it up,That’s what I will miss but now Our Heaven Father God And Our Savior Jesus Christ is holding you and your Daddy so continued your fun in Heaven ,prayers and blessings always to all your family that will miss you here on earth but know that God and Jesus Christ have you in his arms And is taking care of your Family here on Earth,so RIP Dear Ricky and Hug my Dear Lupe for me , Amen your step-mom Annals Martinez ,ps.
